GALEJADE ROSE 2022
Region: Languedoc, France
Grape: Grenache, Carignan, Syrah,Cinsault
Category : Rose
An excellent rosé wine from the great Southern French wine maker Alan.
A slightly cloudy pale salmon pink color.
A bottle full of the Southern French vibe with ripe cherry fruit and a juicy, plump touch.
It's smooth to drink, but has a long aftertaste and presence that sets it apart from lighter rosés.◎
Made from four varieties from three plots.
Syrah and Carignan are aged for 8 months in stainless steel tanks, and Cinsault and Grenache are aged for 8 months
[Producer information]
The Domaine is based in Saint-Cosme in the Gard department, west of Nîmes.
The owner, Alain, owns about 13 hectares of vineyards, mostly Grenache, of which only 4 hectares are used for fermentation.
Work in the fields is carried out with environmental respect in mind, with no scientific products used, instead relying on plant decoctions and biodynamic preparations.
He is best friends with Eric of the popular producer Langlois.
When I asked many young people, "Which winemakers and wines do you respect and like?"
In fact, many people would answer "Alain Arie."
Alan's kind personality has made him well-liked and popular, and many young people are now asking to learn from him.
With experience and the passage of time, he has now become a leader in Languedoc, a powerhouse of natural products.
The wines that Alain makes are the ones he himself likes to drink.
We make our wines in a way that packs the energy of the grapes into the bottle from the ground up.
Those at the forefront of natural wines age them with the lees.
Thanks to this, oxidation does not occur even without adding SO2.
At the same time, Alan's method of dissolving the lees in the liquid was established. This resulted in a clearer wine, while retaining the fruit and mineral (limestone) flavors.
This completes the "Mureship Style" that has captivated Parisian natural fashion connoisseurs.
