VIN DE FRANCE 2022

Region: France, Rhône

Grape: Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault

Color: Red

This coolness and lightness from the Southern Rhône is almost unfair.

I've been drinking her wines for about 20 years, and this cuvée has consistently been a favorite. It's a blend of varietals that the Rhône excels at, offering surprising softness and juicy fruitiness on the palate despite its richness. It's a reliable bistro wine, no matter when you drink it. She is the top apprentice of Marcel Richaud, a master of the Southern Rhône.

【Producer Information】

When I first met her, Elodie was so charming that I wondered if there could be such a young and lovely winemaker. Now a mother of two, her sparkling smile remains unchanged. Drinking her wine again after a long time brought back a flood of fond memories, as it was as delicious as ever.

After training with Marcel Richaud, she took over 3 hectares of vineyards from her father, a member of an agricultural cooperative, and became independent in 2009.

Elodie says: "I always knew I would love wine. I hated going to the vineyards, but I loved talking about wine, even though I didn't understand anything back then..." After studying business, she graduated from a wine school and then spent three years learning about wine under Marcel Richaud (Cairanne).

"He taught me everything. He always gave me wisdom, and he is a precious mentor to me, like a second father. I still ask him for advice. In 2006, when I first made wine myself, I asked him for help."

Now, she produces wines brimming with charming fruit flavors from 17 hectares of vineyards.
As her vineyards expanded, so did her cellar. She has steadily grown her domain.

She destems 90% of the grapes but does not crush them, instead placing them in concrete tanks. During fermentation, she chills the juice and performs remontage.
The resulting wines are both concentrated and light in taste.
She also continues to produce Vin Doux Naturel, a traditional wine of the region, to preserve its heritage.
Her strong convictions, feminine charm, and meticulousness are reflected in her wines.
