Even the most passionate Savagnin fans will be impressed.
At the time, I was obsessed with Jura wine (and I still am), so I drank only Savagnin. Its refined flavor and minerality set it apart from other varieties, and I couldn't get enough of it.
Marechal's Savagnin contains no added sulfites, yet has an elegant, clear, pure fruitiness and soft, rounded acidity. I can already trust it even before drinking it.
It's delicious to drink now, but I'd like to let it sit for 5 or 10 years...

The tree is 40 years old and is grown on Jurassic/Early Rias marl soil.
One third of each is aged for 24 months in 600L wooden barrels, amphorae and egg-shaped tanks.
No SO2 added.

Julien Marechal, Head of the Family

His father originally grew grains and vegetables, which led him to become interested in producing crops that have deep roots in the soil, especially grape growing and winemaking, and he went to a wine school in Dijon to learn winemaking.
While commuting, I was searching and searching for vineyards in Arbois in the Jura. One day...
Near Bornall, I came across a section of incredible energy that took my breath away.

He started making wine in 2004 at the age of 23.
At first, we had a lot of difficulties because we didn't know the characteristics of the soil or the varieties.
Having received the invaluable guidance of Pierre Auvernoy, he succeeded in producing his first wine, Sensful, in Poulsard in 2005.

The cave is a 3-minute walk from the famous Auvernois.
The wisdom of big names such as Stéphane Tissot, who popularized Jura wine around the world, flowed into Julien like a great wave.
The finished wine is always tasted by his mentor, Pierre Auvernoy.
He is truly a man of enormous power, the leader of the third generation of Jura.
